The Committee on Defence and Law Enforcement of the Hungarian National Assembly proposes that law enforcement workers should receive overtime pay. According to the present legislation in force, employees can request only days off in compensation for overtime work from January.

Trade unions have several times protested against the regulation because workers would lose a lot of money, said Miklós Kucsera, president of the National Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Prison Workers (FBVSZOSZ).
