As 71% of Hungarian workers are employed by small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the development strategy of SMEs for the next decade is also important for them – said Imre Palkovics, the President of the National Confederation of Workers’ Councils on TV channel M1, on Tuesday. The Hungarian government consulted 1000 enterprises at different fora before developing the strategy. In addition, the draft strategy was also assessed by the Enterprise Development Council, where trade unions are also members – he added.

This year, HUF 146.5 billion is allocated by the state from state resources and EU funds to ensure the attainment of the objectives. A significant part of this amount will be non-refundable – said Mr Palkovics.
